Compensation (Pay): $83,000 to $120,440/annually, based on experience.

Job Summary: The Director of Facilities is a  multi-functional position responsible for daily management of Peak Vista Community Health Centers (PVCHC)  facilities which include operations, maintenance, repair, budget forecast and expense management.  This position also provides management and oversight for all maintenance and construction contractors for all PVCHC locations. Director of Facilities is instrumental in facilities strategic planning working closely with PVCHC executive team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Budget preparation, and variance reporting
  • Capital Deferred Maintenance, forecasting and implementation.
  • Responsible for  authorization  and tracking of operating expenditures in collaboration with Peak Vista Controller.
  • Provides oversight of facilities capital expense, equipment installation, replacement, and repairs.
  • Negotiates and manages outside maintenance contractors’ requirements and work performance for all Peak Vista sites.
  • In collaboration with PVCHC leadership teams ensures regulatory standards are met in accordance with Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and other governing bodies as required.
  • Provides direct supervision identifies, implements and manages fire life safety and security monitoring systems.
  • Identifies, manages, and documents all space allocation requirements for administrative and clinical needs of Peak Vista.
  • In collaboration with PVCHC’s leadership team researches and assists in Real Estate leasing and  facilities transactions.
  • Serves as a member on various PVCHC and community committees involving safety, security and emergency preparedness.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to the Compliance Plan and conflict of interest requirements.
  • Ensures Compliance to the COP (Continuity of Operations Plan), CEMP (Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan), CERC (Crisis Emergency and Risk Communication Plan), EPP (Emergency Preparedness Plan), HAZCOM (Hazzard Communication Plan), Fire Prevention Plan, and other PVCHC policies & Plans.  
  • Ability to frequently travel inside and outside of the Colorado Springs area.
  • Responsible for providing PVCHC vehicle fleet and operates corporate and/or personal vehicles, if applicable, in a safe and professional manner at all times. Travels to any/all of Peak Vista’s facilities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervision Exercised: Directly supervises the Facilities Supervisors, Facilities Administrator, Facilities Auto Cad Drafts person, and Facilities Staff and Outside Maintenance Contractors

Education/Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent education. Bachelor’s degree required.

Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years building maintenance experience and 5 years managing Facilities maintenance staff and operations required

 

Computer Skills: Intermediate - ability to access the intra/internet to manage timecard, review policies and procedures, and read company communications; use e-mail to communicate with co-workers, leadership, and other departments; use and create a variety of templates, complex tables, merges; manage table data, sort and filter merges, and also perform basic work with existing Macros; customize toolbars, import and insert graphs, embed Excel data, and elaborate reports; work with multiple worksheets, filter data, use integrate functions, and manipulate databases; customize templates and the PowerPoint environment, and create interactive presentations by using hyperlinks and action buttons

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of insurance. Must meet and maintain driver criteria as prescribed by Peak Vista’s insurance underwriter.
