Compensation (Pay): $16.43 to $23.82 based on experience.

Job Summary:

The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the Business Intelligence department regarding the delivery and construction of training materials and overall involvement with organizational operations. In addition, the Training Specialist will be responsible for supporting new and ongoing training projects, the development and testing of training materials, aiding in the development of processes and procedures in order to optimize usage of the electronic health record and delivering training for new and existing employees. The Training Specialist will also work in conjunction with all departments throughout the organization to ensure staff are optimally trained to include ongoing training, audits, and verifying quality assurance standards are being met. This role maintains effective communication with all departments as necessary to identify problems and provide resolution in support of effective use of organizational software and systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Deliver individual and classroom-oriented trainings and implements quality assurance standards.
  • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs.
  • Promotes and demonstrates the mission, vision, and Core Values of Peak Vista.
  • Occasional travel to various local clinics to provide on-site training support.
  • Work with external liaison(s) to identify and communicate enhancements surrounding system templates and upgrades.
  • Responsible for the human, financial, and material resources as well as data and information entrusted to us.
  • Investigates customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Provide maintenance and coordination of documentation for training support tickets.
  • Work with the team’s Instructional Designer to ensure training plans and training materials are developed appropriately.
  • Provides narrative reports and statistical data regarding the findings of patient record reviews for decision-making by organizational leadership. Assures the most economical utilization of time, materials, and resources to provide training to health personnel for optimal efficiency.
  • Provide as needed support to new employee orientation and additional training.
  • Participation in various projects.
  • Assist with the monitoring of class evaluations and assessments.
  • Identifies potential new quality measures and creates proposals for inclusion in Peak Vista’s quality program. Implements process of new content cross-departmentally.
  • Reviews the implementation and efficiency of quality assurance and inspection systems.
  • Provides training on the risk analytics and data warehouse software platforms to Peak Vista staff and other identified community members. Co-leads various teams as needed.
  • Implementation and maintenance of standardization of process, via training and trainings documentation.
  • Assist with the monitoring of class evaluations and assessments.
  • Employee demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to the Compliance Plan and conflict of interest requirements. The employee enhances the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the department by contributing to, and participating in, departmental performance improvement goals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Additional higher education preferred.


Work Experience: One-year previous professional healthcare or social service experience preferred. Minimum of one year of training experience required. One-year experience in documentation of patient care in an electronic setting or billing/coding experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Due to the administrative, coordination, and clerical functions associated with this job, a thorough understanding of word processing, spreadsheet manipulation and processing, and exceptional customer service are required.
