Compensation (Pay): $16.25 to $23.20/hourly, based on experience.

Summary:  The Patient Accounts Representative – Eligibility support billing functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding the billing details and requirements for all third-party payors and miscellaneous programs.
  • Enters and/or approves data into the computer system according to appropriate guidelines to ensure that PVCHC accounts receivable is correct.
  • Third party billing via electronic, Web portal or hardcopy formats.
  • Posting payments and adjustments with appropriate codes.
  • Coordination of member benefits.
  • Adjusting member accounts based on updated information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience: Medical terminology desired, understands medical and financial confidentiality, minimum 1 year of customer service experience required. ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding desired.

Computer Skills: Data entry skills required, expedient and accurate use of 10 key and basic computer skills required.
