Compensation (Pay): $59,009.60 to $85,467.20 /salaried, based on experience.

Job Summary: The Facilities Safety & Security Administrator will maintain the daily safety and security operations for all Peak Vista Community Health Centers’ physical jobsites. This role is required to analyze problems to determine an approach by assessing security or safety vulnerabilities and recommending solutions by utilizing data and pulling reports. In addition, this role assists with the overall maintenance, repair, and daily operations of all PVCHC facilities. This position requires an on-call schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Facilities Team, Manager of Emergency Management Safety and Security, the Risk Manager, the Compliance Department, Human Resources and the Director of facilities.
  • Works with AAAHC, HRSA, CMS, CDPHE BOH, Health Coalitions, local, state, and federal agencies, partners and community agencies to ensure all applicable regulations and updates are followed.
  • Assists in the management of the security vendor contract.
  • Performs, tracks. trends and investigates Safety and Security issues as well as Emergency Preparedness Plans within the company.
  • Educates/briefs PVCHC staff members on safety and security related issues and protocols
  • Obtains preapproval for all expenditures, verify accuracy of invoices and maintain a record system of all transactions and forward originals to the appropriate departments.
  • Monitors the overall maintenance and repairs of the building fire alarm systems, security alarms systems, elevators and electronic access controls. Includes documented, semi-annual inspections of PVCHC sites.
  • Monitors all accreditation standards under the AAHC, OSHA, NFPA as they pertain to the Environment of Care, Safety and Security. This includes coordinating all required inspections.
  • Serves on the Safety/Security committee and documents quarterly safety, security and compliance inspections.
  • Acts as a liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Ensures fire life safety standards are followed throughout the facilitys.
  • Applies or assists with application for required environmental permits.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies for fire alarm, security systems, and electronic access control systems.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to frequently travel inside and outside of the Colorado Springs area.

Education/Experience:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.

Work Experience: Four years’ experience in Facilities maintenance and life safety required, preferably in the medical industry.

Computer Skills: Intermediate - ability to access the intra/internet to manage timecard, review policies and procedures, and read company communications; use e-mail to communicate with co-workers, leadership, and other departments.

Certificates and Licenses: FEMA Emergency Training preferred. Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License, dependable transportation, and reputable driving record to be covered under Peak Vista Community Health Centers insurance.
