Compensation (Pay): $104,618 to $151,696/annually, based on experience.

Job Summary: The Senior Director of Ambulatory Clinical Operations manages, coordinates, and collaborates strategic and operational responsibilities for multiple health centers. Responsible for financial and organizational stewardship, ensuring the health centers’ ambulatory clinical operations meet organizational initiatives and performance goals. Directs the design and implementation of effective programs for supervisory/administrative structures; provides analytical and operational support; defines and implements new performance assessment and management systems; develops recommendations to improve health center performance and recommends action steps to address issues. Maintains knowledge of and assures health center compliance with all Peak Vista policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day operations, financial stewardship, and strategic alignment of all health centers within the Senior Leadership DYAD assignment
  • Effectively engages in the DYAD leadership model to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives, and accountability of DYAD shared responsibilities and goals.
  • Develops local health center leadership teams to increase business acumen, stewardship, and accountability.
  • Promotes and participates in the development of team-based care to ensure all delivery platforms support a patient-centric approach.
  • Participates in health center and organizational strategic planning and execution at the Senior Leadership level incorporating operational, financial, and relational concepts.
  • Monitors health center staffing model to ensure appropriate support for day-to-day operations, while ensuring competent, trained staff meet job requirements and work at the top of their scope.
  • Supports the hiring, orientation, training process and ongoing support for applicable direct reports, to include time and attendance, and professional development.
  • Shares expertise, and liaisons with other organizational entities, and represents Peak Vista with community partners in support of organizational objectives, goals and strategic pillars.
  • Possesses the knowledge of key operating systems within the dental health centers, and integrates technologies for further improvement of the delivery of care.
  • Collaborates with Compliance and Nursing for clinical risk needs and patient advocacy.
  • Assists clinical leadership with vetting on clinically related projects; including but not limited to new clinic site startups and reviewing new grant proposals and maintaining compliance of current
  • Ensures patient and employee safety, and satisfaction, while addressing patient and staff concerns and critical organizational reporting, in a timely manner, in support of the provider-patient relationship.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and professional communication skills and abilities in conjunction with high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to make decisions and set priorities based on patient needs and organizational priorities, aligned with senior leadership.

Supervision Exercised:

If applicable, Director of Ambulatory Clinical Operations, Practice Managers, Site Supervisors, Coordinator(s) of Clinical Operations, Reception Supervisor(s), and designated staff.

Demonstrates strong leadership skills, knowledge and abilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures that the appropriate personnel meet all job required competencies

Education/Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in health-related field or business required. Master’s in health-related field or business preferred.

Work Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of healthcare experience required, preferably in an ambulatory care setting; 7 years of leadership experience providing direct supervision required.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer knowledge, experience with use of electronic health records, internet, database software, and keyboard skills.

Certificates and Licenses: Colorado Driver's License and insurance as required by state law.
