Our service area covers 14 counties, from the front range to the Kansas border, with locations throughout Colorado Springs, Fountain, Flagler, Divide, Limon and Strasburg. Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

Compensation (Pay): $104,618 to $151,696 annually, based on experience.

A $5000 sign on bonus will be paid in the following manner: $1250 payout upon 30 days of employment, $1250 payout upon 90 days of employment, $1250 payout upon 6 months of employment, and $1250 payout after 9 months of employment*.
*Current employees are not eligible for the sign on bonus.

Loyalty Bonus - $5000 upon 1 year of service and then a $1250 payout for every additional 3 months worked. This applies to only FT employees. The amount will be prorated for PT employees.

Job Summary:

Plans, directs, and coordinates Nursing Staff and advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Management of employee timecards, PTO requests, evaluations, training and training plans, budgeting and staffing issues
  • Provides leadership and direction for planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities related to the Care Team nursing staff at all PVCHC sites to include professional development.
  • Provides staffing through per diem nursing pool or Assistant Director of Nursing pool to support Clinical Care teams for patient care.
  • Acts as the clinical nursing resource for the development and implementation of nursing projects within the care team models for all clinics to include but not limited to Nursing driven visits for patient care.
  • Provides oversight of Infection Control plan including staff education and annual review of competencies.
  • Participates in the infection prevention surveillance plan and modifies as necessary
  • Represents PVCHC as needed in meetings with outside agencies.
  • Acts as the clinical nursing resource in current and future project management, strategic planning, quality improvement and assurance.
  • Participates in the investigation of unusual clinical infection exposures or outbreaks, utilizing microbiology laboratory, county/state health departments and if necessary, the Center for Disease Control
  • Assists Risk Management in conducting environmental rounds, collects data, and completes audits to monitor for compliance
  • Acts as a supportive clinical liaison for accreditation review and provides technical assistance as needed
  • Assists Risk Management and HR in the administration of Worker’s Compensation program for PVCHC staff.
  • Participates in the development, delivery and support of educational programs for Peak Vista Clinical staff, including Medical Assistants, Nursing students, and Dental Assistants.
  • Ability to frequently travel inside and outside of the Colorado Springs area

Education/Experience: Education:  Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. 


Work Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of nursing experience required with a minimum of 5-7 years in a nursing leadership required, ambulatory care/primary care setting experience preferred; knowledge of process improvement or infection control preferred.
