Job Summary (Essential Functions)

The Program Manager's primary responsible for management and administration of state contracts, grants, and programs to ensure that they are in line with the stated goals and objectives and within PVCHC goals and objectives. Works within assigned clinic to problem solve and optimize performance to ensure programs are maximized to meet patient needs.  The program manager will provide quality control and monitoring of the programs through methods such as planning, coordinating and facilitating.  Quality control of the state contracts, grants, and programs through methods such as: budgets, staffing, ADP, activities and intended final outcomes. Works with patient accounts to assure billing requisitions are completed.  Acts as a liaison between internal and external state, grant or program partners.  Computer literate, able to achieve competence in current PM patient management system, ADP, Halogen and with current electronic health record system and systems used by state or grant programs.  Pose strong leadership skills with the ability to multitask.  Assist the CTM in customer service representation responsible for handling patient complaints and leading the clinical team in facilitating patient satisfaction and goals.  Responsible for the administration management, and supervision of staff to include interviewing, hiring, the training process, competency, assessments, performance reviews, corrective actions, counseling, and terminations as needed.  Assures adequate clinical staffing to meet organizational goals.  Able and willing to step into all administrative positions within the team when necessary.  Works with Clinical Leadership to assure programs are meeting clinical needs and program requirements.  Assist the team in assuring completion of Peak Vista’s quality, hospitality and performance improvement goals.  Performs other duties as assigned.  

Supervision Received: Clinical Team Director
Supervision Exercised:  Medical Assistants, Coordinators, Care Team Nurses, and program specific staff.


Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or other health care filed strongly preferred. Work experience for degree of 2 years work for one year education.

Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in management of diverse multifunctional teams required. Previous experience in the health care arena desired.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): High language skills, reasoning and critical thinking abilities, strong decision making and organizational skills. Spanish bilingual preferred.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate and have keyboarding skills. Basic skills in tables, spreadsheets and word programs required.

Other Skills: Ability to multi-task and to manage several projects at one time and ability to work with a diverse patient population required. Customer service skills.
Certificates & Licenses: Colorado Driver's License and insurance as required by state law.


Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
