Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Responsible for strategy development, implementation, measurement and improvement of training and development activities related to electronic records system and clinical training. Evaluates and optimizes training and development for various learning styles, including the design and delivery of classroom training, eLearning and blended learning formats.

Works with departments within Peak Vista to ensure all designated personnel are optimally trained on Peak Vista’s electronic health record (EHR), electronic dental record (EDR) and clinical processes, including ongoing training updates, and quality assurance standards implementation. Maintains communication with departments as necessary to assure identification of problems and provide problem resolution in support of effective use of computer systems and training for those systems. Provides EHR/EDR training and support as needed.

Works with operations staff and leadership to help develop, refine and/or redesign processes and procedures to optimize usage and workflow of EHR/EDR/Clinical training  programs for designated staff. Reviews potential new content cross-departmentally and implements as necessary/approved. Assures the most economical utilization of time, materials and resources to train with optimal efficiency. Ensures training plans and training materials are developed appropriately.

Provides oversight of EHR/EDR/Clinical training, including the development, refinement and/or redesign of training activities. Strives to standardize processes, via training and training documentation, with follow-up reporting and corrective actions to leadership. Designs and implements a clinic visit schedule for clinical operations trainers. Ensures successful implementation. Plans and submits Clinical Operations training department annual budget.. Owns change requests and the review of change requests with the Content Management Teams... Ensure that Clinical Operations training team is fully updated with all workflow changes.

Partners with Training Program Manager to ensure the training function are viewed as a single, organizational wide brand and entity.. Maintains effective communication with BI, IT, and Patient Accounts Department to assure identification of problems and resolutions. Helps develop processes and procedures to optimize usage of medical records. Implements new processes cross-departmentally. Provides reports for leadership for decision making purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree is desired. Healthcare background is highly desired

Work Experience: At least 2 years of training management experience, including the design, implementation and measurement of training results, is preferred. Training management experience in the health care industry is highly preferred. Training presentation/facilitation experience is required.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt messages to different audiences is required.

Computer Skills: Experience in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required. Experience with eLearning programs/design is highly preferred. Strong experience in NexGen EHR preferred, Dentrix knowledge desired, experienced in clinical workflows highly desired.

Other Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
