Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Oversees dental staff training for all dental clinics, is responsible for assuring dental staff is given training prior to starting in assigned clinics.  This process will begin with pre-testing potential employee competency prior to hire.  Responsible for developing and maintaining a training program that will be administered at orientation and ongoing as needed to entire dental staff.  Ensure training plans and materials are developed, updated and redesigned appropriately.  Uses training to supplement standardization of all dental processes.  Works with Clinical Team Managers )CTMs) and subsequent staff to assure training plans are completed and reviewed in a timely manner.  Assist CTMs with training remediation if needed or as requested in addition to developing and implementing monthly competences to dental employees.  Will be available to all dental clinics as a floating dental assistant in the event of staffing vacancies.

Qualifications

Education: Dental Assistant Certification.  High school graduate or equivalent.    EDDA Certification preferred.

Work Experience: Previous dental experience preferred; previous training experience preferred.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): High language, high reasoning and critical thinking abilities required.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate and have keyboarding skills.

Certificates & Licenses: Current Dental Assistant certificate, EDDA Certificate preferred.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
