We are a private nonprofit dedicated to premier medical, dental and behavioral health services for people of all ages. We provide primary care services to residents of the Pikes Peak Region through 20 outpatient health centers and are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Provides Preventive Dentistry Services in the PVCHC Pediatric Health Center. Performs Oral Health Screening Examinations on children ranging from newborns to age 18. Consults with Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, and Medical Assistants in the Pediatric Health Center. Refers patients to appropriate PVCHC Oral Health Provider when indicated. Provides case management services to ensure patients follow-up with recommended treatment. Provides Oral Health Counseling and Anticipatory Guidance to Parents and Guardians. Implements Cavity Free At Three Program. Serves as PVCHC point of contact/trainer for the Cavity Free at Three Program. Completes Caries Risk Assessments. Applies Fluoride Varnish when indicated. Uses Electronic Practice Management (EPM) to actively manage and document daily encounter schedule. Maintains Dental Records for patients seen in PHC. Maintains communication with CTM and AVP of Dental. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Completion of dental hygiene training and certification in dental hygiene from and accredited program. MUST be a State Board Registered Hygienist.
