We provide integrated health care services to include medical, dental and behavioral health throughout 26 outpatient health centers within El Paso, Teller, Lincoln, Adams, Elbert and Kit Carson counties. Job Summary:
-Responsible for researching, preparing and submitting all types of grant applications, including but not limited to Private Foundations, Corporate Organizations, Health Resources Service Administration (HRSA); State Contracts with Colorado Departments of Public Health and -Environment and/or Health Care Policy and Financing; or Community Development Block Grants
-Coordinates and attends planning and implementation meetings for grant funded projects
-The Grant Writer needs to develop and maintain in-depth working knowledge of relevant funding agency policies and guidelines, coordinating participation on technical assistance opportunities by all appropriate internal stakeholders as necessary
-The Grant Writer is also responsible for developing and submitting all required reporting and other supporting documentation on funded grants and contracts


Qualifications
-Four-year degree required, English, Journalism, Communications, or similar area preferred
-Minimum 2 years' experience developing grant proposals, including budget presentations, is required
-Technical writing experience will be considered
-Specific experience with governmental grants/contracts preferred
-Experience writing for health-related fields preferred
-GPC or AGWA credential, or work toward examination, is desirable
