Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Provides administrative support in Human Resources to include maintenance of personnel files (active and termed), processes employee status forms, maintains employee information in various Human Resources software programs, resets passwords in ADP and Halogen, sets up evaluation processes in Halogen, performs pre hire and new hire documents, tracks employee training plans, assists with document retention and destruction, orders office supplies for department, supports department in ADP reporting needs and faxing and copying needs, conducts ADP, Halogen and Compliance 360 training in New Employee Orientation, conducts Halogen training for new managers.  Provides back up for Front Desk Receptionist, back up administrative support for worker’s compensation insurance first report of injury, back up for tracking of professional licenses (ie RN, Pharmacist), back up for Hospitality Ambassador of the month program,
 
Supervision Received: Director of Human Resources

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED required.

Work Experience: One year general office experience preferred, 2 years experience in human resources is preferred;

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good math skills, good reasoning and critical thinking abilities required.

Computer Skills: Must have intermediate to advanced user of at least 2 of the following: Word, Excel, HRIS software, PowerPoint, or other specialized software. Keyboarding skills and Internet search skills desirable.

Other Skills: Ability to manage projects as well as short-term assignments, prioritize multiple tasks; working knowledge of regulations and legal implications in human resources preferred. Working knowledge of common office equipment, e.g. facsimile, printers, copiers, calculator required.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds
