Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Responsible for intake and processing of Medicaid/CHP+ and Medicare Savings Program applications. Determining eligibility for programs and investigating eligibility in Colorado Benefit Management System (CBMS). Data Entry into CBMS. Receiving telephone calls, transferring calls to appropriate departments and other client service duties. Supports many internal departments by providing quality customer service. Ability to relocate to other sites if appointed.  Follow all process implemented at the MA Site to include determine eligibility, collect required documentation, meet reporting requirements and assist community partners as needed.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision Received:  MA Site Manager

Reliable transportation is required.  Ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience: Customer Service, CBMS experience as well as working knowledge of Medicaid and CHP+ a plus.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Verbal communication, basic math and the ability to defuse tense situations required.

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge required.

Other Skills: Ability to work both as a team and also independently required.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
