Job Summary (Essential Functions)
We are seeking a full-time, resourceful, and skilled IT professional to oversee the daily operations of the IT Service Desk and perform technical and field support for all locations. The IT Supervisor will also assist in the development of systems to enhance security and operations.
 
IT Supervisor Job Duties:

  • Serve in a multifunctional role to provide support to Peak Vista staff, Providers, and Administrative personnel.

  • Handle incoming customer calls to provide troubleshooting of system and application errors and to resolve technical issues.

  • Administration of the Service Desk ticketing system to modify, maintains, and update as required by workflow and work load.

  • Coordination of Service Desk activities including scheduling, planning staff relocations, and inventory.

  • Serve as a backup for IT Service Desk Manager as needed.

  • Review Service Desk statistics at regular intervals and ensure the successful attainment of Service Desk metrics.

  • Advanced skills in the installation, configuration, operation, and trouble-shooting of PC hardware and software.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, user accounts, DLs, OMBs, and security groups.

  • Coordinate security remediation efforts and mitigate incidents.

  • Assist with the planning, design, and implementation of security initiatives.

  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts in multiple platforms ensuring conformance to administrative and secure policies.

  • Participate in discussions on the creation and implementation of processes that ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory guidelines that impact information assurance and privacy along with the integrity of data systems.

  • Collaboration with Director of Information Security and Assurance on the planning, design, and implementation of security concepts and the mitigation of security incidents.

    • Participates in team on-call rotating scheduling for after-hours support in the evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support clinical operations.

          Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in business management, information technology and/or other related field preferred.

Work Experience: 1-3 years IT experience in help desk environment.  1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.  Healthcare and/or not for profit experience a plus.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability): Strong customer service skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate advanced technical concepts to non-technical professionals.

Technical Proficiency: Must maintain a current working knowledge of IT trends and technology.

Supervisory experience with teams of 2 or more.

Additional Skills: Research solutions and implement new procedures with minimal guidance and ability to supervise a corporate help desk environment required.


Certificates & Licenses: A+, Net+, or Microsoft Certification is desirable with correlating experience. A current and valid driver's license and readily available transportation required to go from one PVCHC site to another as needed.


Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
