Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Oversees job duties for reception staff and Reception Supervisors in accordance with organizational policies and goals, with direct responsibility for the role of Reception in the Revenue Cycle. Develops and maintains department process and procedures.  Works with the Director of the Revenue Cycle, Director of Client Services, and all assigned departments to maintain positive impact to the Revenue Cycle from all reception activities.  Manages the department’s budget to include preparation, implementation, and monitoring. Prepares budget variances as required. Responsible for maintaining, improving, implementing, and tracking procedural changes that enhance the department’s efficiency and work flow. Manages the tracking and timely submission of required reports on departmental productivity. Participates in the development of EPM content and EPM training. Participates in continuous process improvement activities, regarding reception activities. Is aware of and enforces standards associated with HIPAA privacy and security rules. Supervisory duties: Timecard maintenance and approval in ADP Reception Supervisor staff. Responsible to report to Director of Client Services any work performance issues.

Qualifications

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, required.  BA or BS preferred.

Work Experience: 3 year supervisory experience in a healthcare setting required

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Good language, math, reasoning and critical thinking abilities

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge required as well as keyboarding skills

Other Skills: Ability to work with a diverse group of people, provide great customer service, remains calm under pressure, & handles multiple issues that are time sensitive. Bi-lingual (Spanish preferred)

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
