Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Working Supervisor, sometimes housed at the front desk. Responsible for orientation & training of new  reception staff in technical and computer duties using the training plan, maintain the training plan and update as needed in the computer, as well as train existing staff on any new processes – in partnership with EPM/EHR training staff. Responsible for understanding the computer systems used at Peak Vista and is the front desk resource for these processes. Monitors all receptionist work to ensure all processes are being carried out accurately and efficiently according to the Reception Manager’s direction. Works with all assigned departments to maintain positive impact to the Revenue Cycle from all reception activities.  Participates in continuous process improvement activities, regarding reception activities. Provides coverage for staff for training times and staffing shortages. Supervisory duties: Timecard maintenance and approval in ADP Reception staff. Responsible to report to Reception Manager any work performance issues.

Qualifications

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent, required. 

Work Experience: 1 year supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Good language, math, reasoning and critical thinking abilities

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge required as well as keyboarding skills

Other Skills: Ability to work with a diverse group of people, provide great customer service, remains calm under pressure, & handles multiple issues that are time sensitive. Bi-lingual (Spanish preferred)

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
