Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a non-profit healthcare organization whose mission is to provide exceptional healthcare to people facing access barriers.  We provide primary care services (medical, dental and behavioral healthcare) through 25 outpatient health centers in El Paso, Teller, Lincoln, Adams, Elbert, and Kit Carson counties.  We deliver care with our strong “Hospitality” culture.  Our organization has over 600 employees and serves over 10% of the residents in the Pikes Peak region.  Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. Job Summary (Essential Functions)

With oversight and direction from the Residency Program Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the operational and financial management of the Family Medicine Residency Program. This position requires a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.  The program Coordinator will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues, including long range planning, recruiting trainees, developing projects, analyzing administrative workflow, maintaining databases, communicating with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues, and managing internal and external program relations.


Qualifications

Education: B.A. in healthcare-related field or exceptional commensurate experience, preferred..

Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years office administration experience required. Healthcare and/or education setting, preferred.

Cognitive Skills: Must possess excellent cognitive skills and highly effective verbal and written communication skills.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point required. Experience with healthcare workforce scheduling software, such as New Innovations, highly desirable.

Other Skills: Must possess and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to successfully multi-task around competing priorities. High level of collaboration with internal and external partners. Able to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking. Occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements and fine motor skills. Long periods of time continuously working at computer and looking at computer screen. Hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
