Job Summary (Essential Functions)

This job is a two-part multi-dimension position.

IT Training Manager: Manages IT Training Program; Prepares staff to accomplish job results by planning, conducting & evaluating IT skills; Develops training curricula and conducts 1:1 and/or classroom sessions to close the gap between company needs and staff abilities to use software and hardware

Job Duties:

  • Conduct computer training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks
  • Conduct training classes by presenting job-specific, company-specific, and generic software applications and personal computer classes. Classes include IT NEO, New Manager Core, Cyber Security, Residency NEO, MS Office software, 1:1 specific training
  • Design computer training manuals by identifying and describing information needs, using desktop publishing, submitting initial versions for review and revising and editing final copy
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Appraise training by evaluating effectiveness of training to specific job applications
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, conferences, and reviewing publications
  • Design computer training manuals by identifying and describing information needs, using desktop publishing, submitting initial versions for review and revising and editing final copy
  • Manage IT accounts staff and create and monitor process from receipt of FootPrint employee notification for new employment and/or termination

IT Contracts Liaison: Manages the process of IT contracts interacting with VP of IT, IT Generalist – Inventory, IT Engineers, Materials Management, and Finance Departments.

Job Duties:

  • Organize, track, and research IT contracts to include Standard and Blanket POs
  • Coordinate payment process of invoices working with Materials Management and A/C Payable
  • Negotiate price reduction where possible
  • Work with engineers to determine contract licensing and renewal
  • Create process for tracking all purchases including inventory management, licensing structures, and budget constraint


Qualifications
Education: Associates Degree in business management, information technology and/or other related field required. Bachelors Degree preferred.

Work Experience: 3-5 years training experience. 5-7 years of Information Technology experience at a service desk or help desk level. Healthcare and/or not for profit experience a plus.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Strong customer service skills, ability to negotiate, excellent written & verbal communication skills, strong reasoning and critical thinking abilities, decision-making capability required.

Computer Skills: technical documentation skills for end users. Presentation Skills, Written Communication, Training, Training Management, Technical Zeal, Self-Development, Technical Leadership, Presenting Technical Information, self-Confidence, Dealing with Complexity, Microsoft Office Skills, Knowledge of HIPAA requirements preferred. 

Other Skills: Must be able to adapt and change based on external circumstances.

Certificates & Licenses: Any computer certifications a plus. N/A

Physical Demands
Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
