Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Responsible for regularly evaluating and ensuring the effectiveness of Human Resources policies, processes, systems and programs which create and reinforce high performance facilities, leaders, and employees. Supports the alignment of HR Department Operations with business priorities for assigned departments and functions. Fully dedicated to internal clients, their needs and duties and helps to develop and implement better people management practices, sharing the responsibility for goals and target delivery to assigned units
- Serves as a business partner for the management team of the business units assigned, supporting discussions and transfer of best practices from different functions in the organization.
- Routinely evaluates and provides feedback to leaders within the assigned business units, HR leaders, and HR department staff regarding turnover, employee engagement, core values and other significant employee trends impacting a healthy work environment; analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies; incorporates results of ongoing review and analysis of such data into the annual HR strategic business planning process.
- Consults with and manages the people management related agenda for the assigned business units, leading change management projects, managing HR related internal and external communications, acting as facilitator for the management team, and serving as employee champion and change agent, while seeking to develop integrated solutions.
- Shares responsibility for assigned business unit goals and targets delivery, maintaining an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, goals, and culture.
- Acts as a single point of contact for employees and managers in assigned business units, proactively supporting the delivery of HR Processes at the client's side.
- Builds partnerships across HR Shared Services and Centers of Excellence areas. Engages appropriate staff to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
- Ensures that training and support for the design and development of employee performance standards is provided; oversees and supports the effective use of established performance management processes.
- Provides day to day performance management guidance and support to management regarding fair employment and employee relations issues (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Acts as the performance improvement driver, provoking positive changes in people management.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
- Ensures ongoing compliance of HR policies, programs, systems and services with regulatory agency compliance standards including AAAHC and HRSA compliance standards.
- Ensures that job descriptions are developed and that ongoing selection and advancement decisions are consistent with published requirements.
- Ensures that established recruiting, selection and on-boarding processes are implemented, understood, and utilized effectively.
- Works closely with management and employees to leverage work relationships and teamwork, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Engages appropriate staff as needed to deliver and/or support training efforts. Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Participates as a collaborative member of the HR Team, leading facility wide projects, functions, or programs as assigned.
- Contributes to the overall achievement of HR goals, objectives and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, management or related discipline is highly preferred. PHR or SPHR certification is very desirable.
- Minimum of two years experience as an HR Generalist is required (HR business partner capacity is preferred). Human resources experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Experience with ADP, Halogen and/or Healthstream Learning Management System is preferred. Experience working in a detail-oriented environment is essential

- Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
