Peak Vista is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to to join our team of excellent family practitioners, internists and pediatricians.  Must be licensed to practice in Colorado or be eligible to obtain a CO license.  Prescriptive authority preferred. Must be comfortable in providing care to all age groups and be able to serve in a full time capacity in our Health Center at Printers Parkway.  This position is an excellent opportunity for career growth, providing a wide variety of opportunities and excellent mentorship. This position will also serve as a preceptor as part of our APRN Fellowship program. 


The Fellowship is a yearlong full-time employed position which combines mentorship; problem based learning, and supported clinical experience in an outpatient setting. The fellows will begin their rotation seeing one patient an hour then gradually increase the volume of patients seen until they are comfortable seeing and documenting on three per hour. The Faculty member will be available as a resource and mentor to the fellows and will also be responsible for prescriptive practice for the fellows.
In the first year (five fellows) this role is expected to require two days/week. The faculty member will be available to see their own panel the other two days. In the faculty role, the patient template for the faculty will be modified such that the faculty will be available to the program for:
 

  • Mentoring
  • Clinical resource
  • Consulting
  • Prescriptive oversight
  • Mini “clinics” (e.g. I&D, toenail removal, Insulin in an Insulin naive patient) based on area of comfort/expertise
  • Covering in Director absence
  • Minimal admin time for evaluation of fellows
