Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a non-profit healthcare organization whose mission is to provide exceptional healthcare to people facing access barriers.  We provide primary care services (medical, dental and behavioral healthcare) through 28 outpatient health centers in El Paso, Teller, Lincoln, Adams, Elbert, and Kit Carson counties.  We deliver care with our strong “Hospitality” culture.  Our organization has over 800 employees and serves 82,000 patients in the Pikes Peak & East Central Plains region.  Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

This individual will provide strategic guidance and training to Peak Vista's Executive Staff in the development and ongoing management of Peak Vista's Emergency Management Program.  Working with AAAHC, Local, State and Federal agencies, partners and community agencies, this individual will ensure that all applicable regulations, and updates, are included in this program.  This individual will also be responsible for similar programs such as, Safety and Security programs.  The ability to successfully implement and maintain these programs throughout the organization in a timely manner is a strong requirement of this position. Strong experience in Emergency Management and Planning; proven ability to manage financial, organizational and staff resources; excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships; strong leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies, which could span multiple organizational boundaries; excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills; proven ability to proactively drive the programs with limited guidance; competence to manage multiple priorities; excellent communication and relationship skills; proven managerial responsibilities and successful team building skills; the drive and interest to serve on community and state committees focused on emergency management, safety and security; strong understanding and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Duties include:  The strategic development, planning and implementation Peak Vista's Emergency Management Program, including the COOP,  Site Response Teams, first responder preparedness and medical responses, business continuity, impact analysis and coordination with community partners;  develop procedures, timelines for the ongoing management of programs, this will include drills, training and record keeping; establish and maintain positive working relationships with local life/safety agencies including the various regional fire and police departments; represent the Peak Vista's in community taskforce and committees; will have direct supervision of on or more employees; other duties may also be assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience preferred.
Have 4-6 years of experience in the medical industry

Physical Demands

 Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
