Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Hands-On position responsible for day to day supervision of the physical plant and Facilities Staff.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Developing daily work schedules and prioritizing Work Orders to optimize man hours and the use of vehicles.  This includes follow up to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.  2. Manage assigned contracts to ensure proper execution and performance by the vendor.  3. Obtain pre approval for all expenditures, verify accuracy of invoices and maintain a record system of all transactions and forward originals to the appropriate departments. 4. Monitor timecards and punctuality for assigned technicians.  5. On-Call:  Serve as the first line of escalation on all emergency calls and perform root-cause analysis of all alarms that occur, both during and after hours.  6. Staff Training: Instruct technicians on the SOPs and other company policies and provide Facilities staff training as required. 7. Responsible for monitoring the overall cleanliness, aesthetics, maintenance and repairs of the buildings, building systems and grounds. This includes documented, semi-annual inspections of assigned sites.   8. Monitors all accreditation standards under the AAAHC, OSHA, NFPA as they pertain to the Environment of Care, Safety and Security. This includes coordinating all required inspections.  9. Serves on the Safety/Security committee and is responsible for a documented semi-annual safety, security and compliance inspections.  10. Under the direction of the Facilities manager, the supervisor will share in various administrative duties such as budgeting, scheduling and planning.
The Facilities supervisor is also responsible for Special Assignments and Project Management. (Under $50K)  Define or verify project scope and the impact to daily operations, obtain quotes for special projects, coordinates/communicates with internal customers/staff, works closely with Materials Management to obtain Purchase Orders, monitors contractor work in accordance to scope and develops project closeout materials;  
Performs other duties as assigned; this is a hands-on supervisor position and as such the supervisor will assists in various Facilities tasks, such as work orders and snow removal.

Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree or comparable experience preferred.

Work Experience: Three years experience in Facilities maintenance required, preferably in the medical industry.  Supervisory experience preferred.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Ability to read/write English and basic math skills required.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills required in Basic Windows, Word and Excel.  Power Point presentation and MS Project experience preferred.

Other Skills: Requires experience in the following areas: A. Record keeping   B. Purchasing procedures   C. Invoice reconciliation.  D. Vendor/contractor management.  E. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings   F.  Basic understanding of building systems: electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing and painting.

Certificates & Licenses: Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License, dependable transportation and reputable driving record to be covered under Peak Vista Community Health Centers insurance.


Physical Demands

OSHA Risk Level/Work Environmental Hazards: This position has been categorized as OSHA Level Two. (See PVCHC's Exposure Control Plan for details).

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within above normal range. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
