Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a non-profit healthcare organization whose mission is to provide exceptional healthcare to people facing access barriers. We provide primary care services (medical, dental and behavioral healthcare) through 27 outpatient health centers in El Paso, Teller, Lincoln, Adams, Elbert, Arapahoe and Kit Carson counties. Job Summary (Essential Functions)

  • Designs collateral to include flyers, posters, web images, brochures, print ads, programs, etc.
  • Ensures quality assurance on all published campaigns, affiliate links and landing pages in a timely manner
  • Supports, reports & tracks assigned marketing plans, public/media relations activities and communication efforts, as assigned
  • Prioritize a heavy workload and the ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision
  • Acts as back-up for website updates and assists in providing content for pages
  • Supports the project management process by updating creative job status and tracking tools
  • Supports social media activities
  • Provides photography and event support
  • Edit, proof and review collateral with a strong attention to detail
  • Creates and designs collateral, as assigned
  • Takes the lead on a project from start to finish
  • Provide event support for a variety of internal and external events, as assigned
  • Assigned as back up for media inquiries, as appropriate
  • Collaborate on special projects, as assigned
  • Performs other duties, as assigned
  • Supervision received: Director of Communications

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field required
  • Work experience: 2-3 years of communications, marketing or public relations preferred
  • Demonstrated graphic design and publishing proficiency required
  • Cognitive skills (language, math, reasoning ability): Must have strong oral, written skills and proofreading skills; familiarity with Associated Press style preferred
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving/decision making, project and time management skills
  • Computer skills: High proficiency Microsoft Word with particular proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, Top level proficiency in Creative Suite (CS5 of higher: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); general experience with web design, content management, e-marketing platforms and Google Analytics preferred. Basic understanding of HTML
  • Knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) preferred
  • Ability to work with databases preferred
  • Ability to perform repeated tasks on a daily basis while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Interpersonal relations, team player, personal integrity, strong work ethic, nonprofit orientation, ability to learn quickly; demonstrate flexibility, positive attitude and high energy, required
  • Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License and insurance required

Physical Demands
Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing.
