Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a non-profit healthcare organization whose mission is to provide exceptional healthcare to people facing access barriers.  We provide primary care services (medical, dental and behavioral healthcare) through 25 outpatient health centers in El Paso, Teller, Lincoln, Adams, Elbert, and Kit Carson counties.  We deliver care with our strong “Hospitality” culture.  Our organization has over 600 employees and serves over 10% of the residents in the Pikes Peak region.  Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Responsible for starting & forwarding Medicaid, CHP+ and CICP applications to Outreach or Enrollment for follow-up. Responsible for the administration and safety of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile (RMCM) to include planning, coordinating, and facilitating those activities necessary for the efficient operation of the RMCM branding and support of the clinical team in conjunction with the Clinical Team Manager. Assists with team provider satisfaction and productivity. Individually responsible for the functional administration and marketing of the RMCM both within PVCHC, with our strategic partners, and in the community. Acts as the team’s customer service representative. Able and willing to step into all administrative positions within the team when necessary. Assures adequate patient flow within the framework of the clinic needs and the needs of the community. Willing and able to perform other duties as assigned to assure safe, high quality, and efficient services for our patients and excellent team customer services. Must have a clean driving record, be able to qualify for a Commercial Drivers License (Class B) and safely drive the 40 foot mobile health clinic. Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervision Received: School Based Clinical Team Manager
Indirect Supervision Exercised: Indirect supervision of medical and dental allied staff on clinic days


Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in Business or HealthCare Preferred, (Work experience substituted 3 years experience for every one year college requirement)

Work Experience: Professional driving experience preferred. Previous work experience in the health care arena, such as customer service/practice administration, desired.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): High Language, high reasoning and critical thinking abilities. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Access software. Knowledge of wireless networking, go to my pc experience, desired

Other Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication skills are required

Certificates & Licenses: Must obtain a Colorado Commercial Drivers License (Class B) within 90 days of hire; requires a clean and insurable driving record.


Physical Demands

Long periods of standing, moving, sitting and driving a 40” truck. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within normal range. Occasional standing and walking, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, frequent fine motor skills.  Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time.
