Job Summary (Essential Functions)

The Dental Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Director of Dental Programs.  These functions include, but are not limited to, administrating the dental no show policy and coordination of the school screening programs, x-ray unit inspection tracking, scheduling, and reporting, dosimetry (badge and ring) monitoring and reporting, monitoring patient complaint trends, screening dental charge reconcillation, scheduling and screening applicants for vacant positions, and performing other duties as assigned.  Due to the administrative and clerical functions associated with this job, a thorough understanding of word processing, spreadsheet manipulation and processing, minute taking and exceptional customer service are all essential functions of this role.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:  High School graduate or GED required.

Work Experience:  Minimum of 2 years healthcare or dental experience required.  Previous experience administrative support or customer service preferred.

Cognitive Skills:  (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability):  High language skills, reasoning and critical thinking abilities, strong decision making and organizational skills.  Spanish bilingual preferred.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate and have keyboarding skills.  Basic skills in tables, spreadsheets and word programs required.

Other Skills:  Ability to multi-task and to manage several projects at one time and ability to work with a diverse patient population required.  Customer service skills.

Certificates & Licenses: Colorado Driver's License and insurance as required by state law.


Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills.  Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range.  Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
