Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Responsible for intake and processing of Medicaid and CHP+ applications. Determining eligibility for CHP+ and Medicaid and investigating eligibility of Medicaid/CHP+ in CBMS. Data Entry into CBMS. Receiving telephone calls, transferring calls to appropriate departments and other patient service duties. Supports many internal departments by providing quality customer service. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received: Determination Coordinator and MA Site Manager
Supervision Exercised: none
Reliable transportation is required. Ability to work overtime.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience: Customer Service, CBMS experience as well as working knowledge of Medicaid and CHP+ a plus.
Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Verbal communication, basic math and the ability to defuse tense situations required.
Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge required.
Other Skills: Ability to work both as a team and also independently required.

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
