(AAAHC).

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Oversees clinical staff training and is responsible for assuring clinical staff is given sufficient training prior to starting in assigned clinics. This process will begin with pre-testing employees for clinical competency prior to hire. Responsible for developing and maintaining a training program that will be administered at orientation and ongoing as needed. Works with all CTMs in assuring training plans are completed and reviewed on time as needed. Will assist CTMs with re-training or training needs as requested. Responsible for the monthly clinical training to include: tracking, monitoring, reporting, and evaluating. Performs audits on charts of all employees as needed. Will assist CTMs with remedial training plans as needed. Coordinates with HR and Lab to assure POC training is complete. Will work with lab to assure all staff has completed a rotation in lab prior to completion of orientation. Can be pulled to clinic to assist in training and can also be pulled as a float MA in cases of emergency staffing needs. Develop and perform training in-services as needed. Maintain the MA training manual. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required and Ambulatory care/Primary care setting experience preferred.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): High language, high reasoning and critical thinking abilities required.

Computer Skills: Must be computer literate and have keyboarding skills.

Other Skills: Ability to manage several projects at one time required. Ability to work with a diverse patient population required. Ability to plan, facilitate meetings required. Bilingual (Spanish speaking, ASL) desirable.

Certificates & Licenses: Current Colorado MA certificate and current CPR (BCLS) certification required.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
