Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a non-profit healthcare organization whose mission is to provide exceptional healthcare to people facing access barriers.  We provide primary care services (medical, dental and behavioral healthcare) through 28 outpatient health centers in El Paso, Teller, Lincoln, Adams, Arapahoe, Elbert, and Kit Carson counties.  We deliver care with our strong “Hospitality” culture.  Our organization has over 900 employees and serves 93,000 patients in the Pikes Peak & East Central Plains region.  Peak Vista is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Manages and directs the clinical support activities of Peak Vista’s 26 Health Centers by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Plans, coordinates, manages, and controls the daily clinical support operations of Peak Vista’s 26 Centers of Health.
  • Supervises the Clinical Support Vice Presidents as assigned. 
  • Meets with and works collaboratively with Peak Vista’s other executives to ensure that operations are being executed in accordance with Peak Vista’s plans and policies.
  • Reviews clinical support operating results, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
  • Acts to assure adherence to all of Peak Vista’s Program Plans, Policies, Procedures and Standards, laws and accrediting standards.
  • Oversees VP of Patient Experience and all of that VPs programs/initiatives, as well as call center, and enrollment.
  • Oversees VP of Quality, Performance Improvement, Risk Management, and Clinical Development.
  • Leads assigned project teams/committees, and serves on assigned committees, including the eteam.

Supervision Received: Executive Vice President

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specific work as a supervisor or administrator in a health care center is required.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

Math Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Internet software and Database software.

Certificates and Licenses:
Certification or Licensure in a relevant medical or clinical discipline.
