Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Responsible for intake and processing of Medicaid/CHP+ and Medicare Savings Program applications. Scanning and recording applications within the ShareFile system. Determining eligibility for Health First Colorado (Medicaid)/CHP+, and Medical Savings program applications and investigating eligibility of Medicaid)/CHP+ in CBMS.  Make and receive telephone calls, transfer calls to appropriate departments and other client service duties. Support many internal departments by providing quality customer service. Ability to relocate to other sites if appointed.  Follow all process implemented at the MA Site to include determine eligibility, collect required documentation, meet reporting requirements and assist community partners as needed.  Meet benchmarks established by State Health Care Policy and Financing and Medicaid Application Site Manager. Stay current on program changes and update staff and other departments in PVCHC changes.  Represent Peak Vista appropriately at external meetings. Performs other duties as assigned.

Reliable transportation is required.  Ability to work overtime.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience: Customer Service, Health First Colorado (Medicaid)/CHP+ experience a plus.

Cognitive Skills (Language, Math, Reasoning Ability): Verbal communication, basic math and the ability to defuse tense situations required.

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge required.

Other Skills: Ability to work both as a team and also independently required.

Certificates & Licenses:  CBMS Access (within 90 days of hire)

Physical Demands

Frequent standing and walking, occasional long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements, and frequent fine motor skills. Looking at computer screen continuously for long periods of time, hearing within normal range. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
